Happy birthday Everybunny!

I was going to do something quite different for today's post but got carried away (as I knew I would!) with the Everybunny stamp set. Yes I know it's not Easter for another month... er, well actually that's not very far away! But anyway, I'd love to show you what else you can do with this fabulous set. I'm starting today with a child's birthday card - come and have a look:

I've teamed one of the rabbits with the fabulous Happiest of Birthdays stamp set! The presents were coloured with markers before stamping and the rabbit was stamped onto a scrap of Naturals Ivory card stock and coloured with markers - I wanted to give him a hairy texture!
He usually looks like the picture above but I discarded the egg and the chick when I cut him out. So now he's popped up on dimensionals ready to open those exciting-looking presents!

I was delighted with the way this sentiment has a little indent that's just perfect for a rabbit to rest his ear in! I coloured the rubber directly with markers again before stamping - this is one of the simplest techniques but I use it over and over again as it is so effective. It's why I recommend getting all the markers to people just starting out with stamping: markers are so versatile, they're an affordable way to get loads of colours and you can find out which colours you use the most and get full-sized pads in them later.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Everybunny
Ink: Basic Grey
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Marina Mist smooth and textured, watercolour paper
Other: Markers in Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, paper piercer, mat pack, paper snips, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these supplies for you and can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to help and advise. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

The other day I came across a funny story about rabbits on a blog I follow. Highland Monkey makes the most gorgeous knitted creatures (as well as being the most incredible all-round artist and crafter) and has recently made a set of fabulous ballet dancing bunnies. She made several posts about them and then was surprised to receive unsolicited mail from a local vets firm offering competitive rates for rabbit neutering! Do go and have a look at her wonderful creations and read about her response to the vet.

It's Three Minute Thursday here tomorrow - but will my quick card feature a bunny? Do hop back to find out!

Hugs,

Everybunny's gone punny

I knew exactly what set I was going to use to make a card for CAS-ual Fridays this week - Everybunny! It's a set of 8 stamps featuring some very cute rabbits indeed and a punny Easter sentiment. Now I'm not normally much of a one for cute but I fell head over heels in love with these rabbits the minute I saw them! They're not just for Easter either, I've got heaps of ideas for different ways to use them! Watch this space...

In the meantime, come and have a look at today's card:

Aren't those rabbits the cutest little creatures?! I've used three from the set, grouping them together with my stamp-a-majig and some masks made out of post it notes. Here's a close-up:

They're stamped in Basic Grey ink (which is slightly waterproof) and then coloured in using markers and my aquapainter.

The sentiment, which I coloured with markers, fits nicely in the oval punch. Do you like the tone-on-tone effect of the Lace Ribbon border? I cut it from smooth card stock so that it would contrast with the textured card stock mount, and threaded it with this spring-like ribbon in Daffodil Delight.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Everybunny
Ink: Basic Grey, Old Olive, Baja Breeze
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Marina Mist smooth and textured, watercolour paper
Other: Markers, Lace Ribbon border punch, oval punch, 1/8" taffeta ribbon in Daffodil Delight, aquapainter, stamp-a-majig

I shall enjoy seeing what everyone else has come up with for this pun and silly joke challenge. And while I'm on the subject of jokes, thank you to everyone who commented and left emails with more jokes in response to my son's one yesterday - we have thoroughly enjoyed them all. I'm off to the dentist today though which will wipe the smile off my face...

Have a good day today and I'll see you tomorrow,
